One of the best survival tips I want to promote is having a hobby. Hobbies are not only enjoyable but many studies have shown that engaging in a hobby on a regular basis reduces stress. This can translate into reducing blood pressure for women that have high blood pressure, which is very common during menopause. Specifically, hobbies that involve creativity by using the hands seem to work best. So knitting, gardening, painting, crafting, scrapbooking, and other similar hobbies are the best.
My personal favorite hobby is scrapbooking. I do both traditional and digital scrapbooks. I find it so enjoyable and relaxing and I am so proud of the finished product. Scrapbooking is not only artistic but the scrapbooks then become a family memory, legacy and journal that can be handed down to generations, given as gifts, etc.
I will be providing several links on this site for scrapbooking sites and sources that I have used.
